Discrimination is a reality. its human instinct to be weary of anyone and anything that "different" and out of "norm."
So people attempt to protect themselves by gathering the "same" and attacking the "different."
Every hotel in the world is guilty of some kind of discrimination.
What about the following:
•Passports Discrimination
•Gender Discrimination
•Sexual Discrimination
•Discrimination against gays and lesbians.
•Discrimination against handicapped applicants.
•Discrimination against applicants with body peircing and tattoos.
If a hotel has an applicant not in the above, then they will chose another form of discrimination.
Every hotel discriminates against VIP's vis-a-vis normal guests, and usually the normal guests pay more.
Every expatriate working in any country is guilty of discrimination, as they are taking jobs that should be filled
by citizens of that country (except of course the Gulf Region).
What about 'Wasta' in the Middle East this could be put down to discrimination.
Racism should be stamped out in all hotels....however discrimination will never go away.
